How to remove the SIM card

In case of loss or theft

If your phone is lost or stolen, we will take measures to suspend your phone line, so please contact Y! Y!mobile customer support immediately or go to My Y!mobile to suspend your phone line.

Check the procedure to follow in case of loss or theft

  • NFC SIM cards can be used for electronic money and payment purposes. Please be careful not to lose or have the card stolen.
  • There will be a fee for reissuing a SIM card if it is lost or damaged.
  • If your SIM card is lost or stolen overseas, you can still use it in another device. Therefore, even if your device is designed for use in Japan only, be sure to carry out the emergency suspension procedure if your SIM card is lost or stolen overseas.
  • In the unlikely event that a call is used by someone other than the contract holder, the contract holder will be responsible for the call charges.

PIN Code

SIM cards have PIN numbers called "PIN1 code" and "PIN2 code." The initial setting for "PIN1 code" and "PIN2 code" is "9999," but they can be changed. For information on how to change your PIN, please refer to the "Requests and Cautions" for the device you purchased.

  • Please be careful not to forget your "PIN1 code" and "PIN2 code" by taking a note of them.

What is a PIN code?

If the PIN is locked

If you enter the wrong "PIN1 code" or "PIN2 code" three times in a row, the code will be locked. To unlock the code, you will need to enter the "PIN unlock code (PUK)." If you need to enter the "PIN unlock code (PUK)," please contact us.

Check how to release the PIN lock

  • Please note that when you contact us, we will need to verify that you are the contract holder.
  • If you enter the wrong PIN unlock code (PUK) 10 times in a row, there will be no way to unlock the phone. Please note that in this case, you will need to have your SIM card reissued (for a fee).
