Initial setup guide

When your smartphone/SIM card arrives

Insert the SIM card into the smartphone, and turn the power on to use it. The SIM card is included in the box, wrapped in film.

  1. 1First, turn the handset power off.

    • *The method of inserting the SIM card differs depending on the model used. For details, see the user’s manual for your handset.
  2. 2Insert the SIM pin into the small hole in the side of the new handset and pull out the SIM card tray.

    • *SIM pins are sometimes not included with used handsets or with handsets purchased at outlets. We recommend using a paper clip in such cases.
  3. 3Place the included SIM card in the SIM card tray you have pulled out.

  4. 4Taking care not to drop the SIM card, insert the SIM card tray into the smartphone and press until you hear a click.

  5. 5After inserting the card, turn the handset power on.
When the handset starts, you will be able to use the Y!mobile network.

    • *If you are unable to use the network please try restarting the device.

For SIM/eSIM-only contracts

On some handsets, the APN is configured automatically. Additionally, updating to the latest OS version will allow you to use the network.

  • *If you are unable to use the network, see here for the procedure to configure the APN.
