Experience | Registering, confirming and deleting safety information |
When disasters such as earthquakes and accidents occur, we receive a huge number of phone calls from people trying to confirm their safety. This makes it very difficult to get through on the phone in affected areas, and causes many problems in contacting the fire department and police.
As a telecommunications company, we will endeavor to ensure communications by various methods, such as providing disaster message boards, controlling appropriate networks, and providing priority telephone services in times of disaster, but we ask that all users also understand and cooperate by refraining from making non-urgent calls and using redialing, and calling back after a while, in order to ensure smooth use of emergency telephone services in affected areas. For more information on telephone use in times of disaster, please refer to the website of the Telecommunications Carriers Association.
