Cancellation of the contract

Individual customers who have signed contracts at stores or online can request cancellation of their contracts.

What is contract cancellation (8-day cancellation)?

If the signal conditions at your home, workplace, school, etc. are insufficient, if you have not been given a sufficient explanation, or if you have not been issued a written contract, you may cancel the contract within 8 days from the later of the start date of service provision or the date you received the written contract.

  • Depending on the contents of your declaration, we may not be able to accept your cancellation.

  • 1.Communications service contract with us
  • 2.Product purchase contract with our company/dealer※1
  • 3.Individual credit purchase brokerage contract/installment purchase contract with us
  • ※1A sales contract for devices (mobile phones, their accessories, and other products purchased at the same time) concluded in conjunction with the contract in 1.
  • You will be required to pay any fees you have used (basic usage fees, call charges, communication charges, etc. up until the time of cancellation).
  • Depending on the condition of your mobile phone (damage, missing accessories, etc.), we may not be able to accept your cancellation for 8 days.

Cancellation conditions

If you wish to cancel within the 8 days, please notify the store where you made the contract or the Y!mobile Online Store Office (only for those who purchased online).

Regarding fees to be borne by customers

For any flat-rate monthly charges (basic usage fee, additional feature usage fee, flat-rate packet fee, etc.), you will be required to pay a pro rata amount up to the day of cancellation, and for any usage-based charges (call charges, communication charges, additional data charges, content charges, international service charges, etc.), you will be required to pay the full amount.

Refunds for device purchases made through the online store

Refunds will be processed after the cancellation procedure is complete. The timing of refunds will vary depending on the payment method.

  • If the item is in stock, we will process the refund as soon as we receive it back from the warehouse.

When paying by credit card

Credit information is not disclosed to our company, so please contact your credit card issuer directly.

When paying with PayPay

Once the refund is processed, you will be refunded immediately.

  • Refunds may be temporarily withheld at the discretion of PayPay.

In case of cash on delivery payment

We will refund the amount to your designated account by the end of the following month after we confirm that the product has been returned to our warehouse.

  • If there are any errors in your account information, etc., refunds will be made by the end of the following month after the errors are resolved.

Notes

If you cancel within 8 days, your contract will be cancelled. Please note that if you have signed up with MNP and you cancel your contract using the 8-day cancellation option, you may be able to use MNP to return to your original carrier, but you will not be able to restore your contract status at your original carrier. If you wish to return to your original carrier using MNP, please check with your original carrier yourself.
