Set up iPhone APN

If you are unable to connect to the Internet (send and receive mobile data) using the latest version of iOS, follow the procedure below to set up your APN.

Download and install the iPhone APN setup configuration profile

STEP1

Connect to a Wi-Fi network, and open Y!mobile official website.

STEP2

Tap「APN設定用の構成プロファイル」.

STEP3

Tap “Allow”.

※If Select Device shows after your tap, please select “iPhone”.

STEP4

Tap “Close”.

※Depending on your version of iOS, the screens in STEP4 and STEP5 may not be displayed.

STEP5

Return to the Home screen,tap on “Settings”, then tap on “Profile Downloaded”.

※If "Profile Downloaded" is not displayed, tap “Settings” > “General” > “VPN and device management” > “APN”.

STEP6

Tap“Install”.

STEP7

If prompted for a passcode, enter the passcode following the on-screen instructions.

※The passcode is a number (typically six-digit long) to be configured by the user for unlocking of devices.

STEP8

Tap“Install”.

STEP9

Tap “Done”.The setup is now complete.

● There is no guarantee that the above steps will work for all SIM free-unlocked smartphones.
● The image on the screen may differ depending on your device.
● The screen images used were taken with an iPhone 12 (iOS 17).

When transferring SIM from another company

If another company’s profile is set up, you will not be able to install Y!mobile profile.Make sure to delete the profile.

※ When deleting an APN configuration profile, emails and memos tied to that profile will also be deleted.If you require this data, be sure to backup these files before deleting the APN configuration profile.

Delete your APN profile

STEP1

Tap“Setting”.

STEP2

Tap“General”.

STEP3

Tap “VPN and Device Management”

STEP4

Tap the confirmation for another company’s SIM profile.

STEP5

When the profile screen comes up, tap“Remove Profile”.

STEP6

If prompted for a passcode, enter the passcode following the on-screen instructions.

※The passcode is a number （typically six-digit long） to be configured by the user for unlocking of devices.

STEP7

Tap“Remove”.

STEP8

Profile deletion is complete.

Setting Y!mobie with an Android™ smartphone

Set up Android™ APN

Set up an APN to communicate.

※App icons, locations, menu titles, and other details may differ depending on phone. For more information, please see the manual for your device.

The APN may be set automatically depending on your device. If the mobile communication cannot be established, configure APN in the following steps.

STEP1

Swipe up on the Home screen

STEP2

Tap “Settings”.

STEP3

Tap “Network and Internet^※”.

※The display may differ depending on the model.

STEP4

Tap “Internet^※”.

※The display may differ depending on phone. If “Access Point Names” is displayed in the Settings app as shown in STEP6, proceed to STEP7.

STEP5

Tap “Settings”.

STEP6

Tap “Access Point Names (APNs)” at the bottom of the page.

STEP7

Check via browser or other app whether the mobile communication is available. → STEP12

If not configured, or if communication cannot be established via automatically configured APN, tap “+ (New APN)” in “Menu”.

Verify that New APN is displayed.

Enter the setting items listed below.

Please be careful not to make mistakes with punctuation marks such as '.' (period)and','(comma).

On the ︙ menu, tap “Save”

STEP11

Return to the APN list, select the newly created name, and then scroll from the bottom to the top to return to the Home screen.

※ Some devices may have other methods for returning to the Home screen.

STEP12

Tap your browser to confirm connection.
