How to check your monthly payment method

STEP1

"My SoftBank app"Tap

  • When you access this link, the My SoftBank app will launch and the "STEP 2" section will immediately appear.

STEP2

 

You can check your currently registered payment methods.
Please see below for instructions on how to change your payment method.

How to change your monthly payment method

Please select your preferred payment method below.

Change to credit card
Change to a credit card other than the one registered

As a general rule, the new payment method will be applied to the bill for the current month.
The procedure is complete.At 9pm at the end of the monthIf you do so after this date, the change may take effect from the following billing month.

 

Click here for details on whether procedures are required if your credit card number or expiration date has changed.

Tap "Change" under "Payment method"
*If an error screen appears, you will not be able to complete the procedure using the My SoftBank app. Learn more about other ways to change

STEP3

 

Tap "Credit card payment"

STEP4

 

Place your credit card in the frame and scan it, or tap "Enter your credit card information yourself"

STEP5

 

Enter the credit card information you will use for future payments.

List of accepted credit cards

  • * If you scan your credit card with the camera, the credit card number and card expiration date will be automatically entered.

STEP6

 

Please carefully read the "Credit Card Payment Agreement" and tap "Agree and Make Changes" to complete the process.

  • *You cannot cancel your change of payment method after it has been changed. Please go through the procedure to change to your desired payment method again.
  • *If you cannot make changes using the My SoftBank app, please check the following.

If you cannot change the settings using the My SoftBank app

You can apply by mail or at Y!mobile shop. For details, click here

Change to direct debit
Change to a non-registered account transfer

As a general rule, the new payment method will be applied to the bill for the current month.
The procedure is complete.At 9pm at the end of the monthIf you do so after this date, the change may take effect from the following billing month.

Tap "Account Transfer"

STEP4

Select the payment account name
*If you wish to open an account in a name other than that displayed, you will need to complete the procedure at Y!mobile shop.

STEP5

 

Select the financial institution you will use for future payments under "Proceed online"

STEP6

 

Carefully read the details of "Confirmation and Agreement on Payment by Direct Debit" and tap "Agree to the above and continue."

  • *The image shows an example of when you select "Frequently used financial institutions" in STEP 6.
  • * You will be asked to select a financial institution on the following website. Please note that if you cancel the procedure on the financial institution's website, your registration will not be completed.

STEP7

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the procedure.

  • *You cannot cancel your change of payment method after it has been changed. Please go through the procedure to change to your desired payment method again.
  • *If you cannot make changes using the My SoftBank app, please check the following.

Change by mail (credit card/direct debit)

You will need to request a "Payment Method Change Application Form" via the My SoftBank app.
Once you receive the "Payment Method Change Application Form", please fill in the necessary information and return it to us.

If you are applying using the "Payment Method Change Application Form", it will take time to complete the change.1 to 2 monthsIt will take about.

Under "Select procedure method," tap "Submit payment method change application form by mail" under "Procedure by mail."

STEP5

 

Carefully read the details of "Confirmation and Agreement on Payment by Direct Debit" and tap "Agree to the above and continue."

STEP6

 

Select the desired delivery address in "Select delivery address", carefully read the "Agreement items regarding handling of personal information" and tap "Agree to the above and continue"

  • *The image shows the case when you select "Send to invoice address."

STEP7

 

After confirming the address to which the application form should be sent, tap "Apply" to complete the process.

  • * Once you receive the "Payment Method Change Application Form," please fill in the necessary information and return it to us.

Enter the address to which the payment method change application form should be sent

Check "Payment method change application form" under "Documents to send"

STEP5

 

After reading the notes at the bottom of the page, check "I Agree" and tap "Next"

STEP6

 

After confirming the information you entered, tap "Apply" to complete the process.

  • * Once you receive the "Payment Method Change Application Form," please fill in the necessary information and return it to us.
