The location search service can only be applied for by customers who have a contract for the Y!mobile communications service (the subscriber to the phone to be searched).
Even if you are within the Y!mobile service area, location search and self-location notification may not be available in areas with poor signal strength.
Depending on the location of the base station, the location search service may have an error of several hundred meters to several kilometers depending on the area.
Since self-location notification uses e-mail, if the notification destination is a mobile phone or PHS, the notification will not be received if e-mail cannot be received (power is off, out of range, etc.). Also, e-mails may be significantly delayed in some cases.
In order to use the location search service, the subscriber must agree to the following conditions.
If you are using the limited call destination plan, you will need to register the phone number of one of the call destinations with a location search service. (If you do not use self-location notification, you do not need to register the phone number with a location search service. Also, a change fee of 2,000 yen will be charged for changing the call destination phone number.)
