  • The breakdown warranty service does not apply to breakdowns or damage to the exterior of mobile phones (compatible models) caused by exposure to water or total loss.
  • For models that are no longer available for repair, you can use our Water Damage and Total Damage Warranty Service to purchase a model designated by our company at a member price.

  • Repairs are limited to the device itself. Accessories such as battery packs are not included.

Free battery pack service or built-in battery replacement repair discount service

If you have been using the same model for more than a year and have continued the "Breakdown Security Pack-S" for more than a year, you can use the service applicable to your model once per model.

  • The built-in battery replacement repair discount service and free battery pack service cannot be used together.

Water damage and total loss warranty service

  • This applies to models with removable batteries.
  • Depending on the model, delivery may be delayed due to a shortage of battery packs. In addition, battery packs for eligible mobile phones that are more than three years old from the date of sale will no longer be covered by this service once our battery pack inventory is depleted.
  • The free battery pack service requires application. The application period is one year from the date on which the right to receive the free battery pack is granted.
    How to apply for the free battery pack service
  • The free battery pack service is only applicable to mobile phones for which you have applied for optional services. Carry-on mobile phones are not covered by the service.
  • After your application is accepted, the battery pack will be sent to your contract address. Depending on the application acceptance method we provide, you may be able to change the delivery address to your preferred address. Please note that it will take approximately 3 to 7 business days for delivery.

  • This applies to models that have a built-in battery (the battery cannot be removed).
  • The discount on the built-in battery replacement repair discount service applies only during the period in which paid repairs are available as stipulated in the warranty provisions of the warranty card.
  • The built-in battery replacement repair discount service is applicable once per model.

Water damage memory data recovery support

Recover memory data safely even if it gets wet
The memory data will be recovered and transferred to your new mobile phone (a mobile phone for data recovery).

Water damage memory data recovery support

  • Eligible models are AQUOS Keitai 4, DIGNO Keitai 4, DIGNO Keitai 3, AQUOS Keitai 3, DIGNO Keitai 2, Simply, AQUOS Keitai 2, DIGNO Keitai, AQUOS Keitai, and ARROWS S EM01F.
  • The memory data will be recovered and transferred to your new mobile phone (a mobile phone for data recovery).
  • Mobile phones that have become wet will be disposed of regardless of whether data recovery is successful or not.
  • You will need to leave us with both the (water-damaged) mobile phone for which you are requesting data recovery and the mobile phone to be used for data recovery for approximately one week (we can lend you a replacement phone).
  • If your mobile phone gets wet, do not turn it on, remove the battery pack from the device, and take it to Y!mobile shop.
  • Mobile phones that cannot be turned on due to a "breakdown" are not covered by this service.
  • If the mobile phone that has become unpowered due to water damage or the new mobile phone you are using is an incompatible model, we will not be able to accept your data recovery request.

Notes

  • An application is required for each eligible model (if you enroll before January 31, 2023, an application is required for each line (phone number)).
  • If you join after February 1, 2023, this will be an optional service for your device contract, so even if you change your device, use number portability (MNP), cancel your contract, or transfer your number to SoftBank or LINEMO, your subscription will continue as an option for your current device. If you do not wish to continue the service, please cancel it.
  • If you use the repair discount for the "Water Damage/Total Loss Warranty Service," you will not be able to use the "Water Damage/Total Loss Warranty Service" or "Theft/Loss Warranty Service" for a period of six months from the date of repair and delivery.
  • If you purchase a mobile phone at a member price using either the "Water Damage and Total Loss Protection Service" or the "Theft and Loss Protection Service," you will not be able to use either service for six months from the date of purchase. In addition, if you change your model, the usage period will be reset and will start again from that day.
  • If we do not have the same model as the one you are using in stock, you can purchase a model designated by our company at the member price.
